I think your assessment is about right. However, everyone knows the Twins won't sign Ben Sheets. Lets keep it real. Plus a national league pitcher coming to the American league is usually a much more difficult transition then vice versa. That 4 something era will probably balloon to 5. Anyhow I'd like to see Gibson and Guerra in the mix next year for the fourth and fifth spots.

Liriano had better get his act together and soon, how sad for a guy that went 12-2 in 2006? He will have a lot of competition soon. Gibson and Guerra will be approaching the majors next season and both are much better then Perkins, Duensing, Humber, Mulvey and Manship.

Agreed. I think Liriano should be given another shot to prove himself, but his leash shouldn't be so terribly long.

And Pino is definitely a darkhorse for a rotation spot if he keeps this up through Spring Training next year. But I'd say we should concentrate on making Bonser into a lights-out reliever at this point.

I like the Sheets idea. I'd probably give Liriano a spot ahead of Blackburn and throw Blackburn in the 5th spot competition mix. Also need to add Bonser, Pino and Gabino to the mix for the 5th spot.
